" excellent advice and patience w/ newbie"
"Customer service is awesome, the employees are very helpful. I cant remember her name (sorry) but she was able too find me the right Bluetooth headset I was looking for and corrected me on my motorcycle cover which fits perfectly. Thanks Cycle gear! Will be back in the future for sure!"

"Went in to buy boots and got a lot of help "
"It may have just been the two guys I interacted with but one seemed new and unhelpful and the other seemed like he knew what he was doing but unhelpful which was somehow worse. My entire experience just contrasted extremely with my time in the San Diego office. Both offices were a bit understaffed but I felt like in San Diego the employees were happy I wanted to get into motorcycling, cared about safety, took me seriously, and gave good advice even if they weren't assisting me the entire time. Both SF employees I interacted with were dismissive about what I had to say (such as I'm a medium, or this helmet is SNELL certified, or this helmet is missing it's model number, please give me an itemized receipt), were disorganized (I asked him to hold some gloves I was going to purchase but then when it came time to purchase they'd put it back on display), and made me question Cycle Gear as a company (being very inconsistent with San Diego making me think they don't have protocol for something as standard as ordering something they're out of stock on). In the end I spent 3 hours getting a helmet and two gloves and was more frustrated than I'd ever been when purchasing something, and all three things ended up being a bad fit so had to return all three and repurchased gloves and helmet at the San Jose office which was a much much better experience. Never going back to the SF office. Ever. "
"The staff was very accomodating and even looked outside at my bike with me. They offered multiple solutions to my concerns. "
"As soon as I walked in the store I was pleased. I was greeted by the person closest to the door in a friendly manner. After a couple of minutes walking around I was politely asked if I needed any assistance. I told the gentleman was I was looking for and he directed me in the area of the store that the supplies were located. I picked out what I was looking for and noticed that they were not on sale anymore. I went up to the counter to pay and was again greeted in a friendly manner. When asked how everything was I mentioned that it was good but that I liked it better when it was on sale. He said okay and looked it up and told me that he could honor the sale price. That is what I call looking out for the customer."
"Good selection, friendly and knowledgable staff."
"Good service good experience...very helpful with helping me"
"The staff is always very helpful and there's always great deals."
"Was looking for a new helmet, and the employee happily assisted me with many different styles. I was not rushed in any way, though there were other customers waiting for his help. He was courteous and even helped keep my helmet box to pick it up the next day since I wanted to ride home in my new helmet immediately.
Thanks Cyclegear :)!"
" I am a fan of cycle gear. Particularly in San Francisco where so many of the motorcycle stores are so pretentious and boutique-ish. Most recently they honored my battered re-warranty and send me on my way with a new battery. Sometimes the sales people can be really inexperienced and even lie about products. I had one guy tell me that the Daniese motorcycle jackets were handstitched by a grandmother in Italy. Only the most stupid person could believe something so preposterous.
I was actually very close to purchasing the jacket because it was pretty good where as their own house brands I cut for middle-age guys with beer bellys and tend to fit like potato sacks. Anyhow after being treated like I was ignorant, I decided to take that large-ticket purchase elsewhere. "
"I have found this true of every Cycle Gear store I have visited. They usually have what I am looking for but I have to sift through mounds of unorganized merchandise first. Case in point, I went looking for cold weather gloves on my last visit. The glove displays had no labeling to show me which type of gloves were on show. Pro-style, winter, summer, and leather gloves were all mixed up and many pairs had no tags of any kind. There was no real attempt to keep different brands, types, and sizes organized.
I did finally find a pair of Alpine Star winter gloves that fit my needs for a fair price and after riding with them I am very happy with the purchase but I feel like there needs to be a better attempt at keeping the products organized and clearly labeled. "
"Employees made the transaction easy and stress free. "
